Great to meet you!

I am a clinical social worker with 25 years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. I use humor, along with references to television and movies, to build connection and make it easier to explore difficult topics. I meet clients where they are in their journey and help them work toward where they want to be.

I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I have also recently begun training in the treatment of OCD. In addition, I enjoy mentoring individuals who are newly licensed or working toward licensure in the field of social work.

My approach to therapy

I’m an easygoing, laid-back therapist who uses traditional approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also incorporate creative and experiential techniques, including art, sand tray, mindfulness, and other body-based practices. I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that emotional well-being can be influenced by many aspects of life. Depending on your needs, we may explore topics such as nutrition, dreams, spirituality, or other sources of support and guidance.

What you can expect from me

I understand how difficult it can be to open up to someone new about personal experiences. My mission is to help set the tone and pace of our work together. I want to be well-prepared while respecting what you feel comfortable sharing. Therapy is a journey with ups and downs, and the more open and honest you can be, the more effectively I can support you.
