Great to meet you!

If you're stressed and worried, need some practical support for yourself or your child; if you or your child face greater clinical challenges and need guidance of how to better manage, please reach out! I'm currently specializing in Parent Support and Consultation with a few openings for teenagers and young adults who are comfortable working via Telehealth. I'm a Clinical Child Psychologist licensed in CA, received my Ph.D. in Psychology from CSPP, and have a B.A. in English from UCLA. I have over 30 years of experience working with Children, Adolescents and Families and over 15 years as a Post Doctoral Resident Training Director. The last 26 years I worked in an integrated care/HMO setting which was invaluable, and I bring this breadth of experience with me in this exciting chapter of my own practice. I love my career and appreciate all of my clients for their trust in me and the opportunity to work with them in addressing their concerns. I do accept several insurances. For private pay clients I have a set fee but do reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spots to make care accessible when needed. If cost is a concern, we can discuss a range that will work for you.

My approach to therapy

While I have years of clinical experience, I also appreciate how you understand yourself and your children, the significance of your culture and community, and your personal values. We work together to find the best treatment plans and strategies, also based on clinical best practices, to address your concerns within the framework of established goals.

I’m happy to consult with parents regarding any and all concerns associated with their children. This can include but is not limited to: establishing effective discipline while maintaining positive relations with young children or teenagers with behavioral, conduct or relational issues; identifying early signs of developmental issues; establishing effective co-parenting (especially when parents come to their roles with different perspectives and backgrounds); addressing stress of parenting; helping children through separation or divorce; establishing best approaches in helping children manage clinical conditions (e.g. how to ease vs exacerbate symptoms of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, including less common conditions such as Selective Mutism, Trichotillomania, Impulse Control Disorders, etc.).

For consultations about children who are under 18, set up the Headway portal and book under your CHILD's name. For consults about adult children, book under your own name.

What you can expect from me

In our first appointment I help establish your goals for therapy; and for parents, your hopes and goals for your kids and for your relationship with your children. I can then clarify my role and how I can best support you. I strive to have those I see leave a meeting feeling respected, heard, valued and hopeful, with realistic expectations of therapy, and clarity on next steps.
