Great to meet you!

I bring 16 years of professional experience working with individuals navigating addiction, substance use, and trauma, along with 21 years of personal experience in recovery. I understand that addiction and recovery are rarely straightforward, and I know firsthand that change takes time, patience, and persistence. Throughout my career, I've also worked with Native American communities and individuals involved in the criminal justice system, which has reinforced the importance of understanding each person's unique experiences and circumstances. I believe people are more than their past, their struggles, or the choices they've made. My goal is to offer support without judgment and help you recognize that meaningful change is possible, wherever you are in your journey.

My approach to therapy

I believe change is possible, no matter where you are in your journey. My approach starts with meeting you where you are, without judgment or expectations about where you should be. Whether you're considering making a change, working toward recovery, or navigating setbacks along the way, I want to understand your experiences and what matters most to you. I recognize that addiction and trauma can be deeply connected, and I believe it's important to understand the person behind the struggles, not just the behaviors. Together, we'll explore what's been holding you back, build on your strengths, and identify realistic steps toward meaningful, lasting change. Progress looks different for everyone, and you don't have to have everything figured out to begin.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a starting point for us to get to know each other and better understand your situation. I want to hear about what you're experiencing, the challenges you've faced, and what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. Whether you're navigating addiction, working through past trauma, or figuring out what recovery looks like for you, we'll begin with where you are today. There's no expectation that you have everything figured out or know exactly what you need. My focus is on listening, understanding your circumstances, and working together to identify a direction that makes sense for you.
