I am a doctoral level licensed bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health counselor with approximately 25 years of experience impacting multi-challenged individuals and families through effective therapeutic services and counseling according to DSM-5 regulations. My core competences are: Treatment to clients with major psychiatric disorders, with affective disorders, and with clients diagnosed with ADHD.
My approach to therapy is client centered, insight oriented, and Cognitive-Behavioral. Psychoeducation has always been part of my interventions.
During my first session I gather relevant psychosocial information to have an accurate clinical picture/diagnostic impression, and develop an individualized treatment plan; setting realistic goals and objectives. Then we have psychotherapy sessions based on the TP. l have always received positive feedback from clients
