Deborah Vir

My name is Debi Vir and I am the founder and owner of Blue Sky Counseling. I am a graduate of UCLA and Pepperdine University and have been in the field for over 20 years. I work with children (7 and up), adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting challenges, life transitions, grief/loss, trauma/PTSD, and more. I am a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and Maryland Board Approved Supervisor.

I have a collaborative approach and provide therapy that fits each individual's needs, strengths, and goals. I utilize various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I help clients to evaluate and change their thoughts in order to better cope with triggers, improve their mood, change unhelpful behaviors, and enhance relationships with themselves and others.
