Great to meet you!

I have 30 years of experience working with adults trying to move towards a more fulfilling life both individually and relationally. My clients are courageous souls. Their life stories are fascinating and their struggles make sense. It is a privilege to join them briefly on their life's journey. I am a Clinical Supervisor and I have been certified as a couples therapist with the Gottman Institute since 2007. I provide workshops and also work as a volunteer to reduce political polarization.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I understand experiences through the networks of a client's' relationships. EMDR therapy and Internal Family Systems help individuals to recover from stressful events, miniimze intrusive memories and enjoy life more. I use both Gottman Method Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to work with couples. Both are effective in changing painful communication patterns and restoring trust and intimacy.

What you can expect from our first session

People know that life should be filled with good, even joyous experiences. We answer questions about what gets in the way of a better future. We work to change frustrating patterns so that anxiety lessens, opening the door to hope and confidence. We harness the power of emotions to shift conflicts to intimacy. I will guide you through taking reasonable risks to move towards a life that, while not perfect, is satisfying, fun, and you know you have the tools to maintain strong relationships.
