Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD in counseling and a specialization in Marriage and Family counseling. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor which allows me to train new clinicians in the field. In addition, I am a Certified Stepfamily Counselor. I am licensed in Georgia and licensed for telehealth in Florida. Currently, I am seeing clients exclusively in telehealth as a way to increase accessibility and safety.

My approach to therapy

Do you consider yourself resilient? My goal when working with clients is to assist them in finding their inner resilience which will help them to reach their ultimate goals in therapy. I have worked with clients and supervisees to empower them to use their strengths and competencies to improve and enhance their life situations.

My work with couples and families is informed by evidence-based models such as the Gottman Method and other systemic family therapy models.

What you can expect from me

My philosophy is to work collaboratively with my clients. I use a strengths-based, competency-based focus which is informed by a wellness perspective. This perspective empowers clients to find their inner coping abilities and their inner resilience. Working within this humanistic frame, I utilize a therapeutic approach combining solution-focused, systems theory and CBT with my clients. Clients will leave sessions feeling empowered and supported in their journey towards their therapeutic goals.
