Great to meet you!

With over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion. My practice is rooted in the belief that healing begins in a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly seen and heard.

I’ve worked across diverse settings—from community clinics to private practice—supporting adolescents, adults, and families through complex emotional landscapes. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to walk alongside you as you rediscover your strengths and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Kent School of Social Work U of L, and maintain ongoing training in evidence-based modalities to ensure my clients receive the highest quality care.

🌿 Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative, compassionate, and client-centered. I draw from a variety of modalities to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns.
  • Mindfulness-Based Practices: To cultivate present-moment awareness and emotional regulation.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Ensuring safety and sensitivity for those with histories of trauma.
  • Strengths-Based Perspective: Focusing on resilience, empowerment, and personal growth.
  • Attachment Theory: Exploring relational dynamics and early experiences that shape current patterns.

Above all, I believe therapy is a collaborative process. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their inner world, challenge limiting beliefs, and make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

As an LCSW, my approach to working with clients is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. I begin by establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, recognizing that rapport is the foundation for meaningful progress. I use active listening and trauma-informed care principles to ensure clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

The initial phase involves a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to understand the client’s history, strengths, challenges, and goals. This informs a tailored treatment plan that aligns with the client’s values and readiness for change. I integrate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, depending on the client’s needs and preferences.

Throughout the therapeutic process, I maintain a strengths-based perspective, helping clients identify and build on their internal resources. I encourage reflection and insight, guiding clients to explore patterns, emotions, and behaviors that impact their well-being. When appropriate, I incorporate psychoeducation to enhance understanding and coping skills.

I view the client as the expert in their own life and foster autonomy by involving them in goal-setting and decision-making. Regular check-ins and progress evaluations ensure that interventions remain relevant and effective. I also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer to community resources when additional support is needed.

Cultural humility and ethical integrity are central to my practice. I remain attuned to issues of identity, systemic barriers, and social justice, adapting my approach to honor each client’s lived experience.

Ultimately, my goal is to support clients in achieving greater self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change—while holding space for their growth with compassion and respect.
