Great to meet you!

Helen Keller said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." This quote reflects my approach to therapy. While change can feel overwhelming when faced alone, healing and growth often become more attainable when we have support.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly three decades of experience, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe, seen, and heard. No matter what brings you to therapy, I will work alongside you as you navigate life's challenges. Together, we can build on your strengths, develop new coping strategies, and increase your confidence so that you can move toward the life you want to live.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful healing and personal growth occur when evidence-based therapeutic practices are combined with genuine human connection. Every individual brings a unique history, personality, set of strengths, and life experiences into the counseling process, which is why I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.

I am highly attuned to each client's responsiveness and learning style, allowing me to adapt my therapeutic methods in ways that feel supportive, effective, and empowering. My foundation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be limiting their well-being. I also integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move toward healing and resolution. Above all, I maintain a strengths-based approach, helping clients recognize and build upon their existing resilience, capabilities, and personal resources.

A strong therapeutic alliance is at the heart of my work. I strive to create a non-judemental environment where clients feel safe, respected, heard and valued.

My goal is not only to help you gain insight into your challenges but also to equip you with practical tools and strategies that create lasting change. Together, we will establish meaningful goals, celebrate progress, and develop a path forward that empowers you to live with greater confidence, balance, and fulfillment.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy is a courageous step, and I understand that meeting with a therapist for the first time can bring a mix of emotions. My goal is to create a welcoming, calm, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself from the very beginning. This is your space—a place where you can set aside the demands of everyday life and focus on your own well-being.

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and exploring what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your personal history, current concerns, strengths, challenges, and the goals you hope to achieve through counseling. There is no expectation to share everything at once, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.

Just as importantly, the first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and collaboration. I want you to feel heard, understood, and supported as we work together to identify meaningful goals and develop a path forward. By the end of our time together, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the counseling process, confidence that your concerns matter, and the reassurance that you have a compassionate partner invested in helping you achieve greater healing, growth, and emotional well-being.
