Great to meet you!

After decades in healthcare, including years in hospice and palliative care, I learned something that shapes everything about how I work: the most powerful thing I can offer is simply to be present. Not to fix, not to explain away, and not to pretend I fully understand what you are going through. But to stay with you in whatever you are carrying, without rushing, without judgment, for as long as it takes.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania. My years in hospice prepared me to hold space for people in the most difficult moments of their lives, and that experience is what I bring to therapy now. Whether you are managing a chronic illness, living with chronic pain, carrying trauma, grieving a loss, or burning out from caregiving, you do not have to make it more manageable for the people around you. You just have to show up.

One small note: I have a chronic pain condition myself, so you may see me reposition during our sessions. I mention it upfront so you can focus on yourself rather than wondering.

My approach to therapy

My approach is shaped by where I come from clinically: healthcare settings where the stakes were high, the emotions were real, and the person in front of me needed presence, not performance. I draw from Prolonged Exposure, trauma-focused CBT, MBCT, somatic approaches, and polyvagal-informed care, but my method is always collaborative. We figure out together what serves you.

Sessions are empowering rather than prescriptive. I believe you are the expert on your own life and your own body. My role is to help you access more of what you already know, work through what is stuck, and build a relationship with your own experience that does not feel like a battle.

What you can expect from me

No agenda and no pressure. Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. I will listen, ask a few gentle questions, and let you share as much or as little as feels right. By the end of the session, you will have a real sense of whether my style fits what you need, and I will have a clearer picture of how I can help. My goal is simple: you walk away feeling a little clearer and a lot less alone with whatever you brought in.
