Great to meet you!

I do my best to make it my daily personal and professional practice to not say "I understand." I'm not you; how could I possibly, truly understand? However, with my extensive experiences in hospice and palliative care, I am able to sit in the darkness with you while we work through it, or just sit in it, together.

I have worked in healthcare for several decades with a large portion of that time working in Hospice and Palliative Care. It helped prepare me for the transition to working as a full-time psychotherapist. Sitting with those in some of the most difficult moments of their lives, being present and providing a caring, non-judgmental space for any emotions that arose was an honor.

Also, just as an FYI I have a chronic pain condition, you will see me reposition throughout the session. I add this in case attention or being easily distracted is a struggle.

My approach to therapy

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania with decades of experience in healthcare, I draw from Prolonged Exposure training, trauma-focused and somatic approaches, and polyvagal-informed interventions. Sessions are collaborative, nonjudgmental, and empowering.

What you can expect from me

No pressure, no expectations other than getting to know each other to ensure it is the best fit for you. My social work background helped form my practice in a self-empowerment fashion. Ensuring you have THE best fit for therapy is very important.
