Great to meet you!

For more than thirty years, I have walked alongside adults through anxiety, depression, grief, and the family and relationship strain that quietly wears people down. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) psychologist and psychoanalyst, I bring cultural, spiritual, and developmental understanding into every session. I would be honored to work with you.

My approach to therapy

My training spans psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy, and CBT, and I draw on all three depending on what you need. I look at the cultural, racial, linguistic, gender, spiritual, and developmental threads running through your story, because symptoms rarely exist apart from context. I have worked in community mental health centers, hospitals, and college counseling centers, and taught psychology to graduate and undergraduate students, so I move comfortably between deep exploration and practical, everyday language. Sessions are collaborative: we explore together and work toward the goals that matter to you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will talk through what brought you to therapy and what you are hoping will be different. I have supported many people through grief and loss, individually and in bereavement groups, and I bring that same steady presence to anxiety, depression, and family or relationship conflict. Sessions with me are a genuine partnership: I will ask real questions, listen closely, and help you build a clearer, more grounded understanding of yourself as we go.
