Debra Gibson, ACSW, LCSW, LCADC, LISW-CP, has over forty years of clinical, psychotherapy treatment and administrative functions/skills. Ms. Gibson has experience working in New York, and New Jersey, and South Carolina in the areas of children, adolescents, parenting, women issues, couples, elderly, individual, family, counseling, substance abuse, domestic violence, crisis intervention, PTSD, and post-partum concerns. With the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, and focus-solution therapy intervention therapies. Ms. Gibson has training in Alcohol and Drug, mental health, and family dynamics. She has worked in several hospitals/medical facilities in both the medical and mental healthcare areas. She provides clinical supervision.
Her clinical assessment and treatment skills are used currently in her services as a therapist (Mental Health Clinician), Case Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Consultant, and Co-founder and Director of Counseling Service. She is known to develop programs and grant writing. Ms. Gibson is a graduate of New York University Silver School of Social Work, where she also obtained a postgraduate certificate.
