Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Debbie Landis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than sixteen years of clinical practice and over twenty-five years of experience supporting children, families, and adults through life's challenges. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas and specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, and the lasting effects of childhood experiences. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, heard, and accepted. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can build insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic techniques to help you develop practical skills, process difficult experiences, and create lasting change. I value humor, kindness, and authenticity, and I believe therapy works best when we build a trusting relationship where you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we'll focus on your strengths while working through the challenges that have been holding you back.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a relaxed, supportive environment. I'll spend time learning about your concerns, your personal history, and what you hope to gain from therapy, while answering any questions you may have about the process. Together, we'll identify your goals and begin creating a plan that feels realistic and meaningful. My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and encouraged that positive change is possible.
