Great to meet you!

Hello and I'm so glad you are here. I am a clinical social worker with over 25 years of psychiatric hospital experience, so rest assured, nothing you say will shock me :-) I will always be honest with you and offer suggestions, coping skills and guidance to help with whatever you are going through. I applaud your desire to improve your mental health!

My approach to therapy

My approach to working with people is to listen, observe and reflect in an open and honest dialogue. I employ humor, as it is a very healthy coping mechanism which most people can relate to. I am trained in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, so we can definitely tap into those skills if needed.

What you can expect from me

Choosing a therapist you feel comfortable talking to is essential. My focus is to help you develop insight into your thoughts and behaviors so that you can identify what is not working for you and make changes. I will always validate your feelings and make sure you feel understood. I do not have a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy, but instead use a variety of techniques depending on your goals.
