Great to meet you!

I grew up in Ohio and received my master's degree in social administration from Case Western Reserve University in 1982. My specialization was maternal and child health. I moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. in 1986 to accept a job at a children's hospital in the neonatal intensive care unit, and the cardiac transplant program. I worked there for 36 years. After I retired from full-time employment in 2022, I went to work part time at a private practice. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with individuals and families that have encountered life challenges from infancy to adulthood. Losing my parents as a young adult I understand the deep pain and loneliness. I trusted my faith and an experience therapist to help me cope with my grief. I am here to help you too.

My approach to therapy

I focus on strengthening the individual or family to better understand and enable oneself to make changes to improve life challenges and restore hope. For those interested in faith-based counseling we will explore your spiritual beliefs with evidence-based psychological practices.

What you can expect from me

First session is spent getting to know each other, and to make sure we are a good fit to continue with ongoing sessions. Freely sharing feelings and fears in a supportive and safe environment.
