Great to meet you!

I’m Dee S. Freeman, LPC, LAC, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor with over a decade of experience helping individuals and families heal, grow, and rebuild their lives. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern University and a Master Certification in Adult Education and Training.

My background includes directing clinical programs, supervising counselors, and providing therapy for clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and family conflict. I specialize in working with women, parents, and families—particularly those navigating pregnancy, postpartum challenges, or involvement with court and social service systems.

At HALO Therapeutic Group, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can be heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I use proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to help clients understand their emotions, build coping skills, and create lasting change. Each session is personalized to meet you where you are and support your unique journey toward healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to share your story in a safe, supportive space. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and create a plan tailored to your needs. It’s the first step toward healing, growth, and emotional balance.
