Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Dr. De’Edda Powell. I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner serving North Carolina.

I have experience with the treatment of mental health disorders and disparities unique to the African American and LGBTQ+ communities. I currently work with adolescence, adults, and geriatrics. I specialize in the management of psychiatric mental health disorders, such as ADHD, ADD, depression, anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia, bipolar, psychosis and more.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I found that clinically, mental health disorders are better managed with an holistic approach. Each treatment plan is individualized based on the needs of each client. Modalities that I use are psychotropic medications, cognitive behavioral therapy, lifestyle modifications, nutritional and supplemental vitamins recommendations.

What you can expect from our first session

I strive to meet my clients where they are in their mental health journey. I offer mental health services in the privacy of your own home via laptop, PC or smart device. You can now receive therapy and psychotropic medication management with one provider. Together we can give your mind the peace you deserve."
