Hi! My name is Deetza (Franklin) Rosen, LMHC. I work with children (age 7-14), teenage girls, their parents, and women of all ages. I have a Masters in School Counseling from Seton Hall University as well as a license in Mental Health counseling. I specialize in helping children of all ages and stages to develop emotion regulation skills. I specialize in treating anxiety.
Areas I address include: Anxiety, emotion regulation, social issues, conflict resolution, impulse control, anger management, parenting, family issues, behavior issues, bullying, selective mutism and more.
I frequently use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, directive play therapy & solution focused therapy with children.
For children with selective mutism, I use PCIT-SM, which is a specific behavioral, exposure-focused approach. (Note: for kids with SM I work with ages 3+.)
My aim is to create a positive, supportive and empowering experience for my clients during our work together.
During our sessions, I work to make you (and your child) feel comfortable, welcome, and respected. We develop specific goals to be addressed in treatment, which we will re-evaluate regularly to ensure that concrete progress is being made.
