Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Dr. Deirdre Adduci and I believe that when two people work together, we can achieve great things and that together we can become a team that is able to assess and achieve your goals. Sometimes life can be difficult and it can be challenging, but I do believe that teamwork helps to improve our outlook and also to strategize ways to move forward. At times, people will tell me that they feel stuck, but often times this is merely because working alone we may not be able to see all of our options and possible solutions. I do believe that there are solutions that we haven’t even yet. We can do that together. I received my undergraduate education at The Ohio State University, where I studied criminology, my masters degree and counseling from Youngstown State University and my PhD from The University of Akron. I have my independent license in Counseling(LPCC-S),Marriage and Family Counseling (LIMFT), my independent license, my independent license in Chemical Dependency Counseling (LICDC-S) and a license and social work (LSW). I always tell my clients that I could not do what I do if I did not so passionately believe that counseling truly works. Your best thinking got you here looking at our profiles and I am really proud that you have step. I hope to work with you and become part of your team.

My approach to therapy

I use cognitive behavioral therapy, which means that if we change our thinking, we can change our behavior and we can change our world. I like to use a strength based therapy because I may be the expert in what I do, but you are the expert on you.

What you can expect from me

I will be asking a lot of questions because getting to know you is so important to me so that our team is synchronized. I also like to offer some nuggets of suggestion that may offer you some relief in your situation.
