I'm a grateful native New Yorker. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. That doesn't make it easy but it makes it interesting. I left for two years while attending the University of Missouri and obtaining a degree in Journalism. After working in the field and raising children I returned to school and trained to become a CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) followed by 3 years at NYU Silver School of Social Work graduating with high honors and an MSW.

I've always worked in Co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use) I worked in non-profit clinics, Medical Centers (Mt.Sinai, main campus and the Bronx VA with unhoused Veterans). Just before Covid I decided it was time to start a private practice. I’m a lifelong learner and continually attend mental health and substance use workshops, seminars and lectures to keep up with the field. Last year I began training in Sociometry and Psychodrama with the goal of starting groups utilizing that methodology.

As we get to know each other I hope you will find me compassionate, respectful and collaborative. As we work on your treatment plan I hope to better understand your goals and give you a hand in reaching them. Whether we meet in my office or remotely through Google Meet's HIPA compliant video platform I hope I will instill in you the knowledge that there is a solution to every problem and together, through change, we will find it.
