Great to meet you!

I believe that quality mental health care begins with feeling heard, understood, and respected. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and actively participating in your treatment.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. My professional background includes extensive nursing experience, clinical leadership, and caring for individuals with complex medical and emotional needs. These experiences have shaped my compassionate, patient-centered approach to mental health care.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, panic symptoms, stress-related concerns, and other mental health challenges. I understand that mental health concerns can affect every aspect of life, including relationships, work, physical health, and overall well-being.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-oriented. I take time to understand your symptoms, personal experiences, concerns, and treatment goals before developing an individualized care plan. I believe in educating patients about their diagnoses and treatment options so they can make informed decisions and feel empowered throughout their mental health journey.

Whether you are seeking care for the first time, exploring medication options, or looking for ongoing psychiatric support, my goal is to help you achieve greater emotional stability, improved daily functioning, and a better quality of life. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward mental wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatric care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can openly discuss your concerns and feel confident seeking support.

I take a comprehensive approach to understanding your mental health, considering not only your symptoms but also your medical history, lifestyle, relationships, and personal goals. Through thoughtful psychiatric evaluations, evidence-based medication management, and ongoing education, we work together to develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

I believe successful treatment is a partnership. My goal is not simply to manage symptoms but to help you improve daily functioning, build confidence, and achieve lasting emotional wellness. I emphasize open communication, shared decision-making, and regular follow-up to ensure your treatment continues to support your progress.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding your mental health needs. My priority is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences, concerns, and goals.

During our initial appointment, we will discuss your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, previous treatments, medications, lifestyle, and any challenges affecting your daily life. I will take time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and understand what matters most to you.

Together, we will explore potential diagnoses and discuss treatment options, including medication management when appropriate. I believe in shared decision-making, so you can expect clear explanations, opportunities to ask questions, and an individualized treatment plan that reflects your needs and preferences.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your appointment. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and empowered, with a clearer understanding of the next steps toward improving your mental health and overall well-being.
