Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been working in the field since 2009. I have done a lot of work in substance used and addiction. In the last 5 years, I have increased my training and work with women, particularly with current societal pressures that surround women in the workplace and motherhood. I have also begun working more with LGBTQIA+ community members to support the emotional needs and stress that are associated with gender, sexuality, family, and acceptance.

My approach to therapy

I help clients by meeting them where they are. Some clients are ready for big change, but some can be overwhelmed by too much too quickly. I offer unconditional respect without judgment. I believe that everyone gets to be exactly who they are and offer support for those struggling with acceptance, boundaries and advocating for their own needs.

What you can expect from me

I like to start by discussing the issues that are affecting someone now and work back to the deeper causes. It is hard to address things from the past when the present is still causing pain and the future is unsure. In the first session, we look at what brought the person to therapy and what we can address the will bring the biggest help quickly. Then, we start looking at deeper issues and what the bigger picture is.
