Great to meet you!

What I want my clients to know about me is that I truly care. I bring not only my professional experience, but also my heart into the work we do together. I’m a compassionate Jamaican-American therapist who values diversity, inclusion, and authenticity. I welcome people from all walks of life—across cultures, identities, and backgrounds—and I strive to create a space where you can be fully yourself without fear of judgment.

I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 30 years, and I’m still just as passionate today about helping people find hope and healing. I believe in the strength of the human spirit and that, with support, anyone can grow through what they’re going through.

My style is warm, honest, and collaborative. I will challenge you when needed, cheer you on as you make progress, and sit with you during the hard moments. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all—it’s a shared journey tailored to your needs, goals, and pace.

My approach to therapy

In my work as a therapist, I aim to empower my clients, give them hope, and support their healing throughout their journey. I believe that therapy is not about fixing someone—it's about walking alongside them as they rediscover their strength, resilience, and ability to thrive.

I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be their full selves. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I meet each person where they are, and together we work to process pain, develop insight, and build the tools needed for growth and emotional balance.

I draw from various evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered approaches. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual in front of me, honoring their identity, values, and goals.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity challenges, or life transitions, my goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe in the power of human connection and that with the right support, healing is not only possible—it’s within reach.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with me feeling heard, supported, and more connected to their inner strength. My goal is for each person to walk away with not only greater self-awareness, but also practical tools they can use in everyday life—whether it’s managing anxiety, setting healthy boundaries, or shifting unhelpful thought patterns.

I want clients to feel a renewed sense of hope, even when things are difficult. Together, we work to uncover meaning in their experiences, build emotional resilience, and move toward a healthier, more empowered version of themselves. Each session is a step forward in their healing journey, and I’m here to walk alongside them with compassion, honesty, and encouragement.
