Hello, Hola, Ciao - I am saying hello in the languages that I speak: English, Spanish, and Italian. I come from an Italian immigrant family and have lived in several countries. As a result I am sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences.

I work across the age span from children to adults. My belief is that each of us has what we need to heal and or grow within us- an internal map so to speak.

It is important to me for people to be able to express themselves in ways other than just words. In line with this I am a play therapist, and a sand play practitioner, and I use other creative techniques as well. I would be honored to work with you to help you find and read your map

Because I work with a diverse population I use a variety of approaches so that I am able to find the right fit for each individual. In one session I might combine an educational perspective with an experiential technique such as sand play. Many of the people I work with have gone through difficult and/or traumatic life events. Having a range of approaches enables me to be sensitive to individual needs. Since I work across the lifespan I also have to be able to communicate in the natural language of children which is play. That's why I trained to become a play therapist.

In the first session after I introduce myself and go over what you can expect in the session. I ask about the reason that you are coming to therapy. After that I ask background questions and explain the basis for this. I will check if there is something that you feel is important that hasn't been brought up. Throughout the conversation I answer whatever questions you have and what is most important to you to focus on right away. Based on what you have told me I give you an idea of how therapy might proceed. If you are comfortable with me and with the process we will set another appointment.
