Great to meet you!

My name is Delia Acosta, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 24 years of experience in the field of social work. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families across a variety of settings, supporting people through complex challenges, life transitions, and moments of change.

I am now transitioning into providing psychotherapy, bringing with me a strong foundation of experience, compassion, and a deep understanding of the systems that impact mental health and well-being. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they work toward healing, growth, and greater balance in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and strength-based, rooted in empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that each person brings their own strengths, resilience, and capacity for growth into the therapeutic space, and my role is to help you recognize, access, and build upon those qualities in a way that feels empowering and authentic to you.

Together, we will work to deepen self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and explore patterns that may be impacting your well-being. My goal is to support you in making meaningful changes that align with your values, helping you feel more confident, balanced, and connected as you move forward.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where each client feels heard, valued, and understood. My goal is to foster a space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment.

I also integrate solution-focused strategies to help clients identify their strengths and build on what is already working. Together, we will focus on practical steps that support meaningful change, while also strengthening your confidence and ability to navigate challenges in a way that feels aligned with your goals.
