Hello. I’m Dr. Delores Hendrix-Giles, affectionally known as Dr. DHG. I am a clinical social worker with over 25 years of mental health professional experience. I hold a master’s degree in social work from the University of Houston, TX and a Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University in Boston MA. I am passionate about mental wellness and taking the steps to help you work toward becoming your best self. I specialize in issues related to depression, anxiety, grief, burnout, and women's issues concerning identity, caregiving, and boundaries. I am adept at helping clients to explore culturally sensitive issues related to innate gender, power, generational, or structurally and societally imposed challenges.

My approach to therapy

Our quest for wellness, joy, belonging and peace is a part of life’s journey. I’m here to offer support and guidance as you navigate all of the nuances of the journey. I want to help you overcome the unsettling feelings of fear and inadequacy that accompany anxiety or the sense grief and loss that are part and parcel with depression or life’s journey. If you’ve struggled with relationships, stress, or difficult transitions, I’m here to assist you on your path of growth and resilience.
