Great to meet you!

Seeking support takes courage, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, and I earned my MSW from Southern University of New Orleans. My professional background includes supporting adults, teens, children, and families, including those facing crisis situations and domestic violence. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger, relationship difficulties, and family stress, and I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where each person feels heard, valued, and respected.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective counseling begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and the belief that every person has inherent worth and the capacity for change. I take time to listen to each client’s story, understand their unique experiences, and tailor treatment to support their emotional and personal well-being. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and draw from approaches such as person-centered, solution-focused, family systems, motivational interviewing, emotionally focused, and trauma-informed therapy depending on each client’s needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a thoughtful, collaborative process where we take a deeper look at what is going on and create a plan for moving forward. In our work together, my goal is to help clients build resilience, rediscover hope, and make meaningful changes that support lasting healing. Many clients leave sessions with greater insight, practical strategies for managing emotions and relationships, and a stronger sense of confidence in their ability to move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
