Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Demetria “Dee Dee” Williams, LMHC (FL) & LPC (GA), and the CEO/Founder of Take Flight Counseling & Consulting. I bring over 20 years of experience in mental health, with a background that spans crisis stabilization, outpatient treatment, clinical leadership, and service as a U.S. Army veteran. I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression, using approaches such as CBT, EMDR, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. My practice is fully virtual where clients can explore the meaning behind their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families, tailoring therapy to their unique needs and cultural experiences. My goal is to help you reset, refuel, recharge — and take flight toward a healthier, more hopeful life.

My approach to therapy

I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space that honors the belief that all behavior has meaning. My style is person-centered, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based, with a deep focus on trauma-informed care. I integrate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Techniques, and Motivational Interviewing.

I believe in curiosity, compassion, and practical skill-building — helping clients uncover the “why” behind their feelings and behaviors, then equipping them with the tools to cope, heal, and thrive.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to gain clarity about the meaning behind their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while learning practical tools to manage life’s challenges. Sessions are a safe, supportive space to process trauma, grief, or stress and to build confidence, resilience, and hope. My goal is that you leave feeling empowered, encouraged, and equipped to move forward!
