Great to meet you!
My name is Demetrio Rosales. I have been providing counseling services for over 27 years. I have been married for 40 years. I have one daughter who currently attends University.
As a therapist, I specialize in or work across several distinct populations:
Children (Ages 3–11): Focuses on behavioral issues, and parental involvement.
Adolescents (Ages 12–17): Centers on identity formation, peer pressure, academic stress, and family conflict.
Adults (Ages 18–64): Covers career transitions, relationship dynamics, general mental health, and adult life adjustments.
Couples: Focuses on communication, intimacy breakdown, infidelity, and relationship mechanics.
Families: Addresses systemic patterns, parenting challenges, blended family dynamics, and sibling conflict.
I have experience and training in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety mood disorders, personality disorders and other mental health issues such as:
Individuals processing PTSD, complex trauma, abuse, or acute crisis events.
Neurodivergent populations: Clients navigating ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or learning differences
My strengths, core clinical skills, personality traits, and therapeutic techniques I incorporate to help clients heal are
Empathy: During therapy I feel this is the primary bridge that allows me to step into your inner world and see your challenges from your point of view.
Active Listening: In psychotherapy, I believe this transforms hearing into a powerful clinical tool that helps my clients feel truly seen, and profoundly understood.
Unconditional Positive Regard: During our counseling session this is the practice of completely accepting and supporting my clients without any judgment, conditions, or evaluation.
Strong Boundaries: Boundaries create a secure "therapeutic frame" that protects both parties and ensures the space remains safe, and entirely focused on the client's healing.
