Great to meet you!
Hi there, Demi here! I am so appreciative of you taking the time out of your day to seek out support for yourself and be here to read a little about me. I hope this drives you in the direction you're going for. Reaching out for support is challenging; it's acknowledging a need, taking action steps, and being vulnerable, all of which are apart of the therapeutic process. Be proud you've made it this far!
I have worked in the mental health field, in multiple different facets since 2018. My career in started in acute mental health crisis care and shortly transitioned into substance use treatment and co-occurring disorders for the next few years. Upon grad school to obtain my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Merrimack College, I interned at the Worcester County Jail and House of Corrections before graduating in 2021. After graduation, I spent the next three years working in the MA DOC working with general population and residential treatment unit incarcerated individuals. In 2023, I started working for a group private practice that targets serving the LGBTQIA+ community and have been doing this full-time since 2024.
