Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Denetria Brooks-James, and I have been providing therapy in various capacities for 21+ years across numerous populations.

I am passionate about helping people find their authentic self and healing through the use of therapeutic interventions. I specialize in trauma-focused therapy modalities. I am trained in a range of other modalities to provide services that are specific to each client’s individual needs.

I am a proud member of the NASW San Antonio Chapter and hold a DSW from St. Thomas University (Minneapolis, MN), and an MSW and BSW, from East Tennessee University (Johnson City, TN).

On a personal note. I am the mother of two and a grandmother of four little angels. I enjoy traveling, reading, listening to music, and crocheting.

I specialize in working with all ages, and have experience working with PTSD, various traumas, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, ADHD, and other learning disabilities, as well as Couples and Family Counseling.
