Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings. I began my career as a substance use counselor, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding how life stressors, trauma, and mental health challenges are often interconnected. This experience led me to expand my training to better support individuals with a wide range of concerns.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, anger management, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting clients navigating grief, family challenges, and difficulties with emotional regulation and relationships. I use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT, motivational interviewing, client-centered approaches, and play-based interventions to meet clients where they are developmentally and emotionally.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working through challenges at their own pace. I believe in building strong relationships and helping clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and feel more confident in managing life’s difficulties.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and low-pressure environment in the first session. We’ll focus on getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask questions to better understand your needs while also giving you space to share at your own pace.

Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and what you’d like to work toward, and I’ll explain how I approach therapy, so you know what to expect moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, comfortable, and confident about the direction of your care.
