Great to meet you!

I am licensed in Massachusetts (LICSW) and California (LCSW) with 3 years of professional therapy work experience. My goal as a therapist is to build a trusting, secure, therapeutic relationship with my clients, so they are comfortable sharing their narrative and the present issues they want to work on in our sessions. During my social worker career I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient medical and psychiatric hospitals, group homes, and doing home based psychotherapy. As a therapist, my focus has been in providing therapy to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and life transitions such as acculturating to a new country, job, or entering a new stage in life (college, parenthood, retirement). I am open and eager to engage in therapy with individuals of all walks of life and I believe in therapy making us happier, more fulfilled and more enlightened versions of ourselves.

My approach to therapy

I have a background in relational psychotherapy, family systems, mindfulness, and solution focused therapy. I am passionate about instilling hope in my clients, I am compassionate and empathetic, and I am goal oriented and collaborative in order to help my clients see positive results in their mental health during our work together. I am sensitive to diversity and enjoy working with individuals of all genders, sexualities, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Besides English, I also have a good understanding of the Albanian language as it is my first and native language.

What you can expect from me

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and I am here to support you in that process. During session with me you can expect to feel listened to, affirmed, and to have a better and deeper understanding of yourself than when you came into the session. I believe in working with my clients to build a strong bond and trusting therapeutic relationship between us so that when the need to challenge your thinking, behavior, or coping skills is necessary we are able to engage in doing so and we are able to learn together.
