Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys connecting with adults, young adults, couples, and families from different backgrounds and life experiences. My multicultural background and varied professional career, including journalism and communications, have shaped my curiosity about people, relationships, and family dynamics.

I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, relationship and family challenges, parenting concerns, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I believe therapy should feel human and collaborative, combining my professional knowledge and experience with the understanding that you know your life best. Together, we can identify patterns that may no longer be helping and find practical ways to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is supportive, collaborative, solution-focused, and empowering. I draw from evidence-based and contemporary therapeutic approaches, adapting our work to each client's personality, needs, and goals. I listen carefully and help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships, particularly those that may keep repeating and getting in the way of the life or relationships they want.

I believe therapy works best as an active conversation in which we explore, reflect, and focus on what can be changed rather than remaining stuck in what cannot. I bring professional knowledge and experience to the process, while recognizing that you are the person who knows your life best. Together, we look for realistic and meaningful ways to create change in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is primarily an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I want to understand what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what concerns you most right now, and what you would like to be different. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what your goals are or how to explain everything. We can figure that out together. I will ask questions about your current concerns, important relationships and experiences, and what has or hasn't helped you in the past. We will also begin identifying priorities and possible goals for our work.

Most importantly, I want you to feel that therapy is a space where you can speak openly without feeling judged. By the end of the first session, my hope is that you leave with a clearer sense of what we can work on together and whether I feel like the right therapist for you.
