Great to meet you!

I am a woman of color, a mother, lover, friend, sister, daughter and citizen of a world that includes a beautiful array of different kinds of people. I lead with love and compassion. My sessions are safe spaces. I am open and affirming, culturally sensitive, respectful of differences and always learning.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I’m client-centered, non-judgmental and solution-focused. We may have a good time in session, but we are not here just to play. We are putting in work. It ain’t therapy if you ain’t working! I respect all and am devoted to provision of quality services to folks of color, individuals who are LGBTQ, polyamorous people and others who live outside the narrow range of “mainstream.”

What you can expect from our first session

What are we doing? That is the question we are here to answer. You're not in therapy to wander aimlessly and waste time. You're in therapy because you want something to change. You want to think something different, feel something different, DO something different. I’m here to help you figure out what that something is and how to make it happen. We’ll talk, we’ll listen, we’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll challenge, we’ll question, we’ll explore...and ultimately we will figure it out!
