Denise DePalma-Karpf

Hello! My name is Denise DePalma-Karpf. I am an LCSW. In addition, I hold a certification in Violence against Women and Children. I absolutely love what I do; which is to provide a safe, healing and nurturing environment for individuals, couples and/or families who seek counseling services.

I have a holistic approach. I treat the whole person in order to reach the goals of health and wellness. I feel it is crucial to hone in on identified strengths and build upon them from there. In addition, I help create positive changes by starting with how we think of ourselves and the world around us. The way we think, impacts our feelings and behaviors.

Whether you come to me with past trauma, anxiety, depression, a mood disorder, relationship issues and/or life struggles, you will find me extremely easy to talk to. You will have the opportunity to speak your mind, express your feelings, and be heard without judgement. Learning valuable mindfulness strategies, healthy coping skills, as well as, recognizing and changing distorted thoughts are some important techniques that will guide you on your path to wellness.
