Great to meet you!

Hello, My name is Denise but I go by Dee Dee. I have a Masters in Clinical and Pastoral Counseling. Thank you for reaching out and I look forward to meeting with you! :)

Until you walk through our door or meet us online-- you see we are the best choice you can make to helping your find a way out of anxiety, depression, and just when things feel dark. Choosing is not so easy, but counseling does help you if you are willing to make the steps forward.

Counseling is encouraging others and seeing the positives when at times it's hard to see that in yourself. It is a gift to give that to someone who is struggling. I believe in counseling which should not be a surprise. ;) Sometimes you have to believe in that too and yourself because it is team effort. While working together, it is important to find ways for you to have hope and strength in your life. Losing hope can devastating someone especially when outside stressors can invade your thoughts and overall life.

On a personal level, I love dogs and most of my time is spent with something to do them, Plus, I love my family, friends, and Jesus. Counseling is more than a job to me but it is who I am called to be to help others. I hope to help not only find health, and healing but that all people of all shapes, colors, and likes will find that their wounds will have some kind of purpose and meaning. ;) In the end, when we are broken, we all need someone to help us along the way. :)

A bit about my approach to therapy

Some of the experience I have had is with disabilities or mental health symptoms including autism disorders, anxiety disorders of all types, and forms of grief. I have worked in the Ohio State University plus have worked in many mental health fields and practices.

I looked forward to helping you. . .

*To listen to your body, mind, and heart for healing from past wounds and current struggles.

*Finding solutions when you are in cycles of doubt or overthinking.

*Building on your strengths to create new ways of coping and techniques that work best for you.

*And lastly, finding grace and joy in the day to day to inspire and motivate you for your future.

What you can expect from our first session

Counseling is using your strengths to find different ways we can work through the harder times and wounds that seem to burden you. We can works on goals for example such as EXTEND grace to yourself, and share joy outwardly to others, and find ways to cope that fit you and your needs.

I offer a 15 min. consultation free to see if we are a good fit for future sessions, learn more about your needs and expectations of what you are looking for, and how you would like to proceed in counseling.
