I realize that the process of healing, personal growth, developing new skills, and just growing up/parenting is challenging at times. It is also a journey that may look different for each person/family. It is my privilege and honor to be allowed to join in your unique journey. We will work together to help you achieve the goals you set in this therapy process, I will be with you every step of the way while you work towards your goals.
I use a client centered approach based on individual strengths & needs from a systems perspective. First, we complete an intake, which may include kids and parents or possible separate appointments depending on the ages. After assessment we need to build trust and rapport so that we can create goals and start working together towards those goals. I will use the approach which will best fit your needs. I am also trained in Trauma Focused CBT& EMDR. (Eye Movement Reprocessing & Desensitization).
I approach each family/client with the expectation that I am assisting the family/client to create changes, develop insight, work through trauma or learn and practice stills. However, as we start your comfort and being able to trust me is my primary goal. For some, this happens more quickly than for others, so I will meet you where you are at.
