Greetings! I am Dr. Denise Gilstrap and I'm eager to support you on your journey. I'd love to share a little about my background. I have a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from Ole Miss and a Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I'm a LPC-S in Louisiana and Mississippi. I specialize in mood disorders, ADHD treatment, play therapy and trauma-focused therapy.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrated trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approach. I focus on how experiences have shaped the person you've become and moving toward the person you desire to be.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel empowered but most of all, understood. I focus on growth and progress, but most importantly, I aim to hold space and meet my clients where they are. I integrate behavioral and solutions-focused technique facilitate progress toward goals.
