Great to meet you!

Additionally, she completed her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University. Specialty areas are Women's issues, Couples Counseling, Anxiety, ADHD, and Comorbid Medical/Mental health.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Purvis believes clients benefit from validation of their experiences, identifying strategies to change negative belief systems, and options to improve relationship patterns. As an experienced therapist she is able to consider a lens of calming the mind/body while shifting patterns or negative beliefs within individuals or couples sessions.

What you can expect from me

Dr. Purvis helps identify existing patterns and doable goals from the first session. Many clients come to counseling at a significant time of distress or after years of struggling. Clients often leave the first session feeling renewed hope for the future. ***Please call me or text at 815-226-8146 to schedule your appointment for telehealth or in person.
