Great to meet you!

Denise received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University of Fresno. While in the Master’s degree program, she earned her PPS Credential in School Social Work and Child Welfare and Attendance. Though she has experience in many areas of social work, she found her passion to be working in the medical realm.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Denise spent nearly six years working at a Level 1 trauma center in Fresno assisting and counseling patients and families through some of their most difficult times. Denise later accepted a position with a local hospice agency and has spent the last ten years counseling and working with families navigate end-of-life decisions while managing everyday stressors.

What you can expect from our first session

Denise has also facilitated grief support groups and provided one to one bereavement counseling. Denise believes in assisting clients in recognizing their own strengths while helping them discover a strategy that will successfully aid them in reaching their identified goals.
