Great to meet you!
Our well-being rests on a delicate balance between emotional health, physical health, and sleep. As a clinical psychologist who is also board certified in sleep medicine, I have found that healthy, restorative sleep is the foundation of emotional wellness and a powerful contributor to physical health.
Historically regarded as both a healer and even a deity, sleep remains one of the most powerful forms of medicine. It is not simply about feeling rested; sleep produces profound positive effects across the nervous system, restoring the body, mind, and spirit.
Many of my clients struggle with life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, nightmares, restlessness, snoring, excessive sleepiness, fatigue, or unusual nighttime behaviors. These challenges often impact work, school, relationships, and overall quality of life. Too often, individuals seek my care after trying multiple antidepressants or anxiolytics without meaningful relief.
Treatment typically begins with addressing sleep concerns while also exploring emotional and physical contributors. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), exposure therapy, light therapy, imagery techniques, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to optimize sleep, mood, performance, and overall well-being.
My approach is integrative and collaborative, guided by each client’s goals. The aim is to reduce suffering, deepen understanding, and promote lasting growth and change.
