My beliefs about counseling have been shaped by my past career experiences, my relationships, and the wonderful journey I've had as a parent. Counseling is my second career, and prior to this, I dedicated over 15 years to various roles in the healthcare field. Throughout this time, I've witnessed how unmet mental health needs, psychological challenges, and environmental factors can significantly impact an individual's body, mind, and spirit. I truly enjoy exploring the expanding areas within my field, particularly in play therapy and neuropsychological research, as well as discovering new techniques and understanding different client populations.

As an adoptive mom of four amazing kids, I'm truly passionate about supporting adoptive parents, caregivers, and adoptees in navigating the core issues that often accompany adoption. This includes exploring identity, processing trauma, dealing with PTSD, abuse, grief and loss, addressing behavioral disorders, and working through challenges like anxiety, depression, addiction, and healing from attachment issues. Together, we can make this journey a little easier and more fulfilling!

I am dedicated to promoting mental, emotional, and psychological wellness through an integrative therapy approach that values multiculturalism and diversity. My goal is to provide a new perspective by offering an integrated therapeutic framework that addresses the counseling needs of children, individuals, families, couples, and community organizations. I utilize evidence-based treatment methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Play Therapy. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR therapy!

I aim to create a meaningful difference in my clients' lives by offering a heartfelt blend of empathy, insight, and expertise that truly resonates with them. My goal is to build trust and connection through personalized approaches and unwavering support. This dedication to nurturing growth helps to cultivate a warm, therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered and genuinely supported.
