Great to meet you!

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with over 14 years of experience in psychiatry, including more than two years in advanced practice. I earned my doctoral degree from Walden University and built my foundation in psychiatric crisis stabilization and correctional mental health settings, environments that shaped my ability to meet people where they are without judgment. I grew up in Detroit, and that upbringing gave me a deep appreciation for resilience and community. I proudly serve clients of all backgrounds, races, and cultures because culturally humble, affirming care is essential, not optional. My clinical focus includes mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and women's mental health. I have a special passion for working with veterans, and it is an honor I carry with me into every session.

My approach to therapy

I treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis. I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, integrated with evidence-based tools including grounding techniques, gardening, meditation practices, and more. I believe medication works best alongside skills that help you reconnect with your body and your sense of safety. My space is warm, direct, and free of shame. Years in high-acuity settings gave me a calm, steady presence and I will work with you to build a plan that fits your actual life. Cultural awareness and sensitivity are woven into everything I do, because every client brings a story shaped by identity, history, and experience that deserves to be honored.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will talk about what is bringing you in, your mental health and medical history, current symptoms, and your goals for treatment. I will ask questions, and I genuinely want you to ask them too. By the end of our first visit, we will begin building a care plan together, which may include medication recommendations, grounding techniques, or other holistic practices. I want you to leave feeling heard. There is no pressure, no rush, and no judgment. Just an honest conversation and a first step forward.
