Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges, strengthen emotional wellness, and develop the skills needed to create meaningful and lasting change. My counseling approach is compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their concerns openly.

My areas of focus include bipolar disorder and mood management, anxiety, trauma, family concerns, relationship challenges, stress management, cultural and ethnic issues, anger management, and impulse control. I work with clients to identify patterns that may be affecting their well-being, understand emotional triggers, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.

I believe that effective counseling begins with understanding each client's unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals. My approach emphasizes self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and practical strategies that clients can apply in their everyday lives. I also recognize the importance of cultural background, family dynamics, personal experiences, and life circumstances in shaping mental health and relationships.

Whether you are struggling with overwhelming emotions, navigating a difficult relationship, processing past trauma, or seeking greater balance and direction in your life, I will work alongside you to identify meaningful goals and build on your existing strengths. Seeking support is a sign of courage, and you deserve a therapeutic space where you can grow at your own pace.

My goal is to help you gain greater understanding of yourself, develop healthier relationships, manage life's challenges more effectively, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. Together, we can work toward healing, personal growth, and lasting emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change when provided with the right support, tools, and understanding. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and challenges.

I draw on evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral strategies, emotional regulation, and practical coping skills, to help clients identify unhelpful patterns, manage stress, navigate relationships, and develop healthier responses to life's challenges. My work focuses on helping individuals experiencing bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, anger management concerns, family conflict, and relationship difficulties build greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional stability.

I recognize that each person's journey is shaped by their unique background, culture, relationships, and life experiences. Therefore, I tailor therapy to each client's individual needs, strengths, values, and goals. Together, we work to identify meaningful changes, strengthen existing abilities, and develop practical strategies that support progress both in and outside of sessions.

My goal is to empower clients to better understand themselves, overcome obstacles, build healthier relationships, and create a more balanced and fulfilling life. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I am committed to meeting clients where they are while supporting them as they move toward lasting personal growth and emotional wellness.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your concerns at your own pace. My priority is to help you feel heard, respected, and supported as we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin; we will work through that process together.

We will discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to achieve through counseling. I may ask questions about your emotional well-being, relationships, family dynamics, stressors, personal history, and existing coping strategies to gain a better understanding of your experiences and needs. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share your preferences, and learn more about my therapeutic approach.

Together, we will begin identifying your strengths, establishing realistic goals, and exploring strategies that may help you manage stress, navigate difficult emotions, improve relationships, or address other concerns affecting your quality of life. I recognize that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so there is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable sharing during our first meeting.

My goal is for you to leave the session feeling understood, encouraged, and hopeful about the work ahead. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that respects your individual needs while working toward greater self-awareness, emotional wellness, and meaningful change.
