Great to meet you!

I began training to be a psychotherapist 15 years ago after having worked in publishing for many years. Becoming a Social Worker and helping others has always been a kind of calling for me, but it took a little while for me to arrive at my goal. I hope that that part of my story helps to prove that it is never too late to change or to pursue goals. I continue to integrate the things that I have learned to help others who are experiencing distress and difficulties with navigating life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is best describe as integrative—I make use, in every session, of a mixture of psychodynamic, behavioral, mindfulness-based, and solution-focused techniques to meet each client where they are, and to help them to identify direction for their lives and to help them move in that direction.

What you can expect from me

I hope that client will feel known and validated in their experience. I hope that often client will feel that they understand themselves better and that they are putting the pieces of their lives together in a more meaningful way. Finally, clients are usually offered techniques and strategies for improving their day-to-day lives.
