Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist and have worked in several federal agencies (DOJ, DOD, DHS and VA) with a wide population. I have learned to listen, be flexible, use humor and not take myself so seriously. Life is not a dress rehearsal so let's make the best of the time we have.

My approach to therapy

I listen, ask questions and focus on what you want from therapy. I realize you are the expert on your experience and are coming to psychotherapy for relief, to feel better. I work with depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and chronic health problems, especially people with diabetes. Realize, to every health problem there is a psychological reaction and usually vice versal.

What you can expect from me

I want clients to understand that I am warm, open, accepting and direct. To be able to address something, you have to look at a situation and call it what it is.
