Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Social Work, and I bring both clinical expertise and real life understanding into the therapy space. My professional background includes years of direct clinical practice as well as leadership roles in complex, high stress systems, including serving as a Mental Health Director. These experiences have shaped my ability to support individuals who are navigating pressure, responsibility, and emotional overwhelm while still being expected to function at a high level.

I work best with clients who are strong on the outside but struggling internally. Many of the people I support are women, mothers, professionals, caregivers, and helpers who are used to showing up for others while neglecting their own emotional needs. I have a particular passion for working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, identity concerns, and trauma related to past or ongoing stressors.

Therapy with me is not about having all the answers. It is about learning how to trust yourself, set healthy boundaries, and show up for your life with more compassion and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person centered, trauma informed, and collaborative. I believe healing happens when clients feel heard, respected, and empowered rather than judged or rushed. Sessions with me are a balance of emotional processing, practical tools, reflection, and gentle accountability. I meet clients where they are while helping them move toward clarity, confidence, and emotional safety.

I also integrate faith based perspectives when desired by the client and am intentional about honoring cultural identity, lived experience, and personal values. Above all, I strive to create a space where clients can be honest about their struggles, release unrealistic expectations, and reconnect with who they are beyond survival mode.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to feel grounded, supportive, and judgment free. The initial session is a space for us to get to know each other and for you to share what brought you to therapy at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly what to say.

We will talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, stressors, strengths, and supports. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, goals, and areas where you would like relief or change.

I also use the first session to explain how therapy with me works, discuss confidentiality, and ensure that the approach feels like a good fit for you. You can expect warmth, empathy, and collaboration, along with gentle guidance and practical insight when appropriate.

Most importantly, the first session is about creating safety and trust. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, validated, and more hopeful, with a clearer sense of what support can look like moving forward.
