Great to meet you!

I have experience in both residential and outpatient behavioral health settings. I have worked in a residential treatment program serving adolescent males with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care in a structured environment. Additionally, I have experience in private practice, where I provided individual therapy and facilitated treatment within Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs. These diverse clinical settings have strengthened my ability to support clients with a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns across varying levels of care.

My approach to therapy

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and lasting change. Building trust and rapport with my clients is a top priority, as I view the therapeutic alliance as an essential part of the healing process. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being open and authentic.

My approach is both compassionate and direct. I balance empathy and understanding with honest feedback and accountability, recognizing that meaningful progress often requires both support and gentle challenge. I meet clients where they are, honoring their unique experiences and perspectives while working collaboratively to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve their goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a comfortable, judgment-free conversation in which we get to know each other. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, your personal history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach, the therapy process, and anything else that will help you feel informed and comfortable.

There's no pressure to share everything all at once or to have all the answers. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for your journey, and by the end of the session, we'll have a better understanding of your goals and discuss a plan for moving forward together.
