Desirae Giraldes

Hi, my name is Desirae and I am a LCSW. I have been a Social Worker for over 25 years. I have worked in a variety of settings throughout my career including schools, medical placements, county programs, conservatorship and crisis residential. My focus throughout my career has been working in the area of Mental Health.

In 2020 I focused on private practice therapy and found that this area of work is where I belong. I love working with others one on one in a supportive and compassionate setting.

My approach is eclectic. I am very client centered and aim to find out what got us to this point while focusing on clients' strengths. Together, we can work to find the source of your feelings and symptoms and develop strategies to decrease them, so you can start living a more fulfilling life.

I strive to create a comfortable environment where you feel safe to be your true self. I'm here as a trusted partner that you can confide in, but also as someone who will challenge you and help you grow.

My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. Together, we can tailor our approach to meet your unique needs and preferences and develop strategies that can help you.

While everyone is unique, I've found that clients typically start making measurable progress after our first four sessions together. My goal is to ensure that every client has the tools they need to be their best, and to reach a point where they no longer need me.
